Option Flow & Unusual Activity on Stock Details
Open symbol-locked Option Flow and Unusual Activity tabs on any ticker’s Stock Details page — live tape and Net Flow for Maxx.
What it is
On each ticker’s Stock Details page, Maxx subscribers get two flow tabs:
- Option Flow — live options tape for that symbol only, plus the Net Flow chart
- Unusual Activity — the same tape, filtered to unusual prints (unusual / highly unusual / vol & size vs OI tags)
Both deep-link as /stock/{symbol}/option-flow and /stock/{symbol}/unusual-activity.
Who can use it
Option Flow requires Maxx. Pro, Ultra, and unsigned-in users can explore the filter panel; the live tape is locked behind an upgrade card. Guests get an inline sign-up / sign-in gate in the tape column.
The global Option Flow page uses the same gate and can scan the full market; Stock Details locks the ticker for you.
On /option-flow, use the Symbols typeahead to add one or more tickers (chips). The live tape shows company logos beside each Tick. Net Flow opens only when exactly one symbol is selected — clear extras or click a Tick to toggle. Use the Cushion column and Contract filter for OTM distance at print time (same % formula as the screener).
How to open it
- Click any ticker to open Stock Details.
- In the left nav, choose Option Flow or Unusual Activity.
- On Option Flow, use filters (session, type, premium, DTE, cushion, etc.) as needed. Unusual Activity hides filters and always applies the unusual-activity rule.
- Resize the divider between the tape and Net Flow chart.
Tips
- Prefer Unusual Activity when you only want flagged prints for that name.
- Use the full Option Flow page with multi-symbol chips when watching a shortlist, or clear Symbols to browse the whole tape.
- Narrow Cushion (e.g. above 0%) to focus on OTM prints, or below 0% for ITM.
- Learn Net Flow metrics (NCP, NPP, directional insight) in the Option Flow troubleshooting guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Maxx for Stock Details Option Flow?
Yes — Maxx only. Option Flow and Unusual Activity on Stock Details use the same Maxx gate as /option-flow. Pro and Ultra users can still open filters; the live tape stays behind an upgrade card. Other Stock Details tabs (Overview, Heatmap, GEX, Trade Summary) keep their existing access rules.
How is Unusual Activity different from Option Flow?
Unusual Activity is the same live tape locked to the ticker, but always filtered to unusual-activity prints. Filters are hidden so the view stays focused.
Can I change the ticker from Stock Details flow?
No — the ticker is locked to the Stock Details symbol. Open another ticker’s Stock Details page, or use /option-flow with the Symbols typeahead to watch one or more tickers on the market tape.
Can I filter Option Flow by multiple stocks?
Yes on /option-flow — add several Symbols via typeahead chips. Net Flow appears only when exactly one symbol is selected. Stock Details Option Flow stays locked to that page’s ticker.
What is Cushion on Option Flow?
Cushion is how far the strike is from spot at print time, as a percent. Positive means out of the money for that call or put (same formula as the screener Cushion column). Use the Cushion range filter under Contract to keep OTM or ITM prints.
Is this the same as Unusual Volume under More?
No. Unusual Volume (/unusual-volume-options) is a free z-score volume leaderboard. Stock Details Unusual Activity is live flow prints tagged as unusual (Ultra/Maxx).
