Options Heatmap: Strike × Expiration at a Glance

How to open Options Heatmap from Screen or Stock Details, read |Δ| colors, and apply screener presets on the strike × expiration grid.

What it is

The Options Heatmap is a strike × expiration grid. Each cell shows mid premium (or yield) so you can scan seller-friendly credits without hopping between chain expirations.

How to open it

  1. Go to Screen → Options Heatmap (/options-heatmap) and search a ticker, or click any ticker and choose Options Heatmap on Stock Details (/stock/aapl/heatmap).
  2. Toggle Calls / Puts and Premium ($) / Yield (%).
  3. Optionally apply a screener Preset. Quality filters (premium, delta, volume, and so on) grey out contracts that miss the band; they stay on the grid.

How to read the colors

Cell fill maps to |Δ| (absolute delta):

  • Green — lower |Δ| (more OTM / seller-friendly)
  • Neutral — near ATM (~0.50)
  • Red — higher |Δ| (more ITM)
  • Grey — no contract, or the contract failed a quality filter

Click a cell for premium, yield, delta, IV, PoP, volume, and open interest. Use Zoom at the bottom if the grid is dense.

Viewport tips

  • Strike range follows the Cushion filter (default ±10% of spot; widen or narrow in Filters).
  • Use the DTE filter to narrow expirations.

Trial and upgrade

Active trial and paid plans see the full grid. During trial you get 10 heatmap searches per day (a new ticker, Calls/Puts, preset, or any filter change — including sliders). Paid plans are unlimited. After trial ends, the heatmap peeks then asks you to upgrade — same paywall pattern as the screener.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Options Heatmap?

Open Screen → Options Heatmap (/options-heatmap) and search a ticker, or open Stock Details and choose Options Heatmap (/stock/SYMBOL/heatmap).

What do the green and red numbers mean?

Text color follows absolute delta (|Δ|): greener means lower |Δ| (typically more OTM), redder means higher |Δ| (more ITM). The scale focuses on |Δ| between 0.25 and 0.75.

Is the Premiums heatmap free?

You can use it during your signup trial (10 ticker searches or filter changes per day) and on paid plans with unlimited searches. After trial ends without a subscription, the grid locks behind the upgrade paywall.
